During our visit to South Luangwa National Park, we stayed at Chikunto Lodge inside the park boundaries far away from the entrance to the park. Wild animals had free access to the grounds. A territorial male elephant required us to take an elephant” Uber”to our tent.
Elephants are very fast if they choose to be so we were always respectful of them. They were comfortable enough with us that we watched them stretch while eating trees, bushes and grasses. The babies were quite funny to watch.
