There were so many colorful and interesting birds to see in Ecuador. We sat quietly in the early morning to see birds picking off bugs that came in to a light. Many came to fruit feeders and water features shifting in and out of sight and switching places on a favored spot. Others were seen while we walked forest paths and along roads. Sometimes, we could hear a bird but struggled to see it or image it as it hid from view.
